Leslie, born and raised in So. California, began her career in
accounting in 1986. In addition to having worked for a prestigious country club
and the Bob Hope Cultural Center-McCallum Theatre in Palm Springs, CA, Leslie
spent 7 years working with CPA's in the public accounting field. As the
daughter of a retired IRS Division Chief, Leslie became certified in income tax
preparation and almost followed in her father's footsteps by briefly
considering a career with the IRS. Having changed her mind about working for
the government, Leslie continued her accounting career in the private sector
while furthering her education to include Human Resource Management.
Having left California for Seattle, WA in 1997, Leslie launched
her own home-based accounting service for small companies which eventually lead
to Leslie being asked to join the staff of one of her clients, Strategy
Software, a software development company, as their Accounting & Operations
Manager until she and her family moved to Colorado in 2005. Eager for a new
challenge and impressed by their status as a fast growing and innovative leader
in their industry, Leslie joined Axess Communications as their Financial
Controller in 2007. Still enjoying her 2+ decades spent in the accounting
field, Leslie also enjoys spending time with her husband of 15 years, Kevin,
and their 3 children, Dallas, Dillon and Holly. Recreational activities
include: Hiking, camping, skiing, and reading.
